About the SBI Clerk exam

The clerical cadre (Junior Associate) in SBI — a popular, stable banking job selected purely on written performance, with no interview.

Eligibility

  • Age: 20 to 28 years, with upper-age relaxation for reserved categories as per rules.
  • Qualification: Graduation in any discipline. Knowledge of the local language of the state applied for is required.

Exam pattern & selection

  1. Preliminary (100 marks · 1 hour)
    English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability with sectional timing. Qualifying stage.
  2. Main (200 marks · 2h 40m)
    Four sections — General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude.

Selection: Prelims (qualifying) → Mains → final merit from Mains marks (there is no interview) → language test.
